Dryer Vents

Close

A cheap dryer vent is a fire risk. Lint accumulates on rough interior surfaces, the louvers stick, airflow drops, and your dryer runs hotter and longer to compensate. That's how dryer fires start — and the CPSC says there are thousands every year. Metal dryer vents with smooth interiors and properly weighted louvers don't trap lint the way stamped aluminum or plastic units do.

Our dryer vents come in louvered, under-eave, and rooftop configurations. Louvered wall-mount is the most common residential install — the slats swing open when the dryer runs and fall shut when it stops, keeping out cold air and critters. Under-eave models tuck into the soffit for a cleaner exterior look, and rooftop exhaust vents make sense in multi-story situations where the duct run is shorter going up than going sideways.

Material choice is copper or stainless. Both handle the heat, both keep moisture from degrading the vent body, and both give you a finished look that won't become an eyesore on the side of the house. Copper has the edge on antimicrobial properties if that matters to you. Stainless is the right call for coastal installs where salt spray is constant.

Available with one-way dampers, filter screens, or both. Flush-mount and stucco-mount options for most models.
