This round stamping disc is enormous! It is perfect for copper enameling or any other type of craft you have in mind! It is made from 16oz copper (around a 24 gauge) and has a protective layer on one side. This allows one side to arrive completely scratch and blemish free!

I needed this unit to fix a portable stove top I have.
I have a portable convection stove that has a safety on it that if it doesn't detect metal on the stove top, it auto shuts off. Some of my pots are stainless steel made in India, I like the pots and pans, I just need more metal there for the stove top to detect and trigger and turn on.
I found this advertisement for an 8 inch blank that seemed perfectly conductible with proper thickness and diameter and be a permanent solution to my problem.
I paid for it, was charged an additional 15 dollars on top of the price, so instead of 25 dollars I paid a total of 40 dollars and got a super thin floppy stamp piece that was barely 5.42oz in total weight. While the size diameter was right, I still dont know if it will fix my stove problem now because its literally thinner than the pan I am trying to use on the stove. It comes paper thin literally. Its not the advertised thickness or weight at all. It will come less than 1/3 of the actual advertised weight and mass.
Not saying you will get ripped off for buying this, but know if you are using it as a blank to make something or fix something, plan on it already being paper thin before you even form it into something else. To me the blank being this thin is already useless before it is used. I will test it on my convection stove eye and if it is too thin to activate my stove eye I will have no choice but to request a refund on the premise its not the advertised product dimensions.
Lets hope for the best!
Testing it out today.
Hi Michael,
Sorry to hear the circle was not what you expected! Copper thickness is measured in ounces instead of gauges. For example, 16oz copper means 1 square foot of the material weighs 16oz. As the circle was 8' the radius was 4' making the area of the circle 50 square inches. Since the copper is 16oz copper it means the weight of the disc should be just over 1/3 of a lb. My sincerest apologies for the misunderstanding.
Best,
Copperlab
Thanks for the perfect piece and the useful samples I have already used
Really thick pieces of copper. Very pleased
